The Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and the Environment, Ion PERJU together with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, the general director of “PROGRAIN ORGANIC” L.L.C., Spartac Chilat and other local entrepreneurs discussed today, 20.02.2020, about the potential partnership on developing the capacities of the research institutions, but also of the potential of professional development the labor force in the agricultural sector.
“For the sustainable development of agriculture throughout the value chain, it is necessary to change the approach, including, in the research system and agricultural technical vocational education, so that the theoretical and practical training within the technical vocational education institution is in collaboration with the business environment, with the use of their means, in order to obtain the knowledge, skills and competences necessary for the economic agents that develop business in the agricultural sector. We intend to identify partnerships with investors in the field. ”, pointed out the minister, during the meeting.
In this context, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergiu Harea, together with the local investors, spoke about potential projects that will provide support to vocational education institutions subordinated to the ministry.
At the same time, during the meetings, there was discussed about the labor force in agriculture and the efficiency of the cooperation between the private environment and the educational institutions, in this regard.
Thus, the general director of “PROGRAIN ORGANIC” L.L.C., Spartac Chilat expressed his initiative to develop an Agricultural Complex that would include the raising of animals, the use of organic fertilizers for soil processing, the production of fruits and vegetables in protected areas, etc. According to him, the business would provide new jobs and contribute to the economic development of rural localities.
“We will analyze the potential offered for such a project to be mutually beneficial also in the interest of the agricultural education system. It is a potential project that could be developed with the support of the World Bank within the Program of rehabilitation of the zootechnical sector in our country. We welcome the initiatives that aim to contribute to the economic development of the country and to provide new jobs for our citizens. ”, highlighted the Minister, Ion PERJU.
