Lentil is an annual plant that has pods similar to beans and peas but smaller, where we find on average 2 seeds that can be of different colors (orange, dark green or brown). Since it germinates at low temperatures, lentils are sown in early spring, at the same time as peas. Sowing is done as in the case of peas, namely: trenches will be made 15-20 cm apart. The optimal depth is 3-4 cm, and a distance of 2-3 cm will be left between the plants. Lentils are harvested when the color of the pods is yellow-brown with hard seeds.
